xposition is a computer consultancy that specialises in working with smaller businesses, charities and community groups. The name, xposition, starts with the last letter of the founder's name (Phil De Caux) and is a combination of two definitions:

"a systematic interpretation or explanation ... of a specific topic"[ref] and "an essential component used to plot current and future positions and the route in between".

In other words, we will:

  • help you interpret where you are now
  • help define where you want to be and the best course to take
  • work with you to help you get to your future position.

xposition was born in 1997 in response to the individual needs of smaller businesses and charities. We have made it our mission to help you to do IT better!

We understand that IT is a world full of jargon and confusion. We believe that this provides an artificial barrier to many organisations being able to tap into something that could give them the edge they need to succeed in whatever they are doing. We will help you unravel the complexity and we always try to use plain English terms. If we fail to explain things in a way that you understand, we think more of you for letting us know.

We will never advise you to do anything if we believe it offers you no real advantage over what you are doing already. Our first question is always: "do you really need to do it at all?" All we want to do is work with you to help you become more effective and better able to manage your future. If you are already doing things in a way that is best for you, we are happy to let you know!
